Three Illegal Immigrants Charged with Murder in Woodland Hills Home Invasion
Authorities have identified three men arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) in connection with a violent home invasion, murder, and robbery in Woodland Hills as illegal immigrants from Eastern Europe. The suspects, all Georgian nationals, are PAATA KOCHYASHVILI, 38, ZAZA OTARASHVILI, 46, and BESIKI KHUTSISHVILI, 52. Each faces murder charges, with bail set at $2 million.
According to Fox News, all three men were in the U.S. illegally, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed detainers on them. The LAPD responded to a residence in Woodland Hills just before 1 a.m. on April 26 for a death investigation. ALEKSANDRE MODEBADZE, 47, was found with a severe head injury and pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles City Fire paramedics.
Homicide detectives allege that the three suspects forcibly entered the home, held Modebadze captive, and fatally assaulted him. Hours after the alleged murder, the FBI assisted in locating and apprehending the suspects. One was arrested near Sepulveda and Burbank boulevards in Van Nuys, while the other two were taken into custody in Glendale.
ICE has yet to respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment on the case. The incident has reignited debates over immigration enforcement and public safety.
