In a surprising twist of events, a Mississippi man is now facing charges after allegedly attempting to steal a customer’s delivery order. The incident, which occurred on Monday, took an unexpected turn when the intended victim turned out to be former Madison County Deputy, BRAD SULLIVAN.

TEREL TYWAN HAMPTON, 30, of Jackson, Mississippi, allegedly targeted a delivery order placed by Sullivan through an app. According to WLBT, a Jackson-based NBC affiliate, Hampton, identified as Dennis K on the app, denied having the order and refused to deliver it to Sullivan. However, management at the Academy Sports store where the order was placed confirmed that Hampton had indeed picked up the package.

BRAD SULLIVAN, who was left partially paralyzed after being shot twice in the head during a 2019 chase involving a kidnapping suspect, immediately contacted Madison Police. Sullivan stated that he did not cancel the order, despite it showing as canceled on the app.

The Madison Police Department collaborated with the store to investigate the matter and confirmed that Hampton had left the premises with Sullivan’s purchased items. Shortly thereafter, Hampton was stopped while driving his 2016 Chevrolet Impala and taken into custody. Inside the vehicle, police discovered the stolen merchandise, which included two shirts, two pairs of shoes, and a pair of shorts. Additionally, authorities found marijuana and a firearm in Hampton’s possession.

TEREL TYWAN HAMPTON was arrested and charged with petit larceny, improper equipment, and possession of marijuana while in possession of a firearm. Both BRAD SULLIVAN and the Madison Police Department declined to provide further comments when reached by Fox News Digital for additional remarks.

This incident highlights the growing concerns over theft and delivery fraud, even as law enforcement continues to combat rising crime rates across the country.
