Princeton University Launches Search for Missing 23-Year-Old Student LAUREN BLACKBURN
Princeton University and its Department of Public Safety are intensifying efforts to locate LAUREN BLACKBURN, a 23-year-old student who went missing on April 19. BLACKBURN was last seen near the Firestone Library on campus around 6 p.m. on Saturday.
LAUREN BLACKBURN, a former staff writer for The Daily Princetonian, hails from Indiana and was recognized as a National Merit Scholar in 2019 before enrolling at Princeton. Described as a standout student with exceptional academic abilities, BLACKBURN was praised by his former English teacher, KATE ROBINSON, who noted his remarkable memory and intellectual prowess.
In a statement to the university community, Vice President for Student Life W. ROCHELLE CALHOUN urged students to keep BLACKBURN in their thoughts as search efforts continue. Authorities have focused their search near Lake Carnegie after reports indicated that a missing person’s phone was pinging in the area.
LAUREN BLACKBURN is described as 6-foot-2, weighing 170 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans with tears in the knees, a yellow T-shirt, and a black, zippered hooded sweatshirt.
