Man Accused of Double Murder and Dismemberment in St. Petersburg, Florida, Faces First-Degree Charges

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A man has been arrested and charged with the brutal killings of his girlfriend and her mother in what authorities are calling a gruesome double homicide. KIRK HYSELL JR., 41, is facing two counts of first-degree murder, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

The horrific incident unfolded early Saturday morning when a 911 call alerted authorities to a deadly scene at a residence in St. Petersburg. Deputies arriving at the home discovered the bodies of two women: CHRISTINA DONZERO, 34, and her mother, BETTI SUZANNE THEVENET DONZERO, 75.

Investigators say CHRISTINA DONZERO was found in a bedroom, having succumbed to multiple stab wounds. Meanwhile, her mother’s body was discovered in the garage, also bearing several stab wounds. According to an arrest affidavit obtained by Fox News Digital, one of the victims was both suffocated and stabbed, while the other was stabbed and dismembered.

HYSELL was found in the home’s bathroom with multiple self-inflicted injuries and was subsequently transported to the hospital. Authorities say he allegedly confessed to the murders and revealed chilling details about his intentions. Detectives reported that HYSELL told his daughter he had killed his girlfriend, prompting her to call 911. He also allegedly directed family members to the victims’ bodies.

In a disturbing revelation, HYSELL confessed to planning to kill the entire family and reportedly stated that if he were to be released, he would “do it again,” according to the sheriff’s office.

Once discharged from the hospital, HYSELL will be taken to the Pinellas County Jail to await further legal proceedings. The sheriff’s office has not yet clarified which of the victims was dismembered.
